The first craft I ever learned was crochet. Originally, I wanted to learn how to knit, but the thought of juggling two knitting needles and being super careful not to lose any stitches along the way intimidated me. As a compromise, I picked up two beginner books on crochet and knitting and learned how to crochet first as the techniques were rather similar. I figured, if I could master crochet to some extent, then knitting couldn't be much harder.

As time went on, I found that I had a knack for doll-making and I've created my own unique style by using the foundations I've picked up from Amigurumi books and any improvisations I've made along the way. Things didn't end there, either. I've also picked up jewelry making and, just recently, bookbinding! There's nothing I love more than taking the time to work on a project and seeing it through to completion. It's a wonderful way to destress and the results also make for fun presents for family and friends. Crafting has brought such joy into my life, and I always wonder what the next exciting adventure will be.
